Well can you believe Fae Nation is two years old today!
Back then I was excited to see so much amazing Faerie related stuff happening, but felt you had to search around to find it all. My intention in starting Fae Nation was to bring it all together in one place, friendly and accessible to everyone, and I hope you'll agree that it is working. I still have so many fantastic things to bring you, so here's hoping for many more years yet to come!

Anyway, looking at this merry month of May, our Artist of the Month is a talented illustrator from San Francisco, Lisa Victoria. Be sure to take a peek at her gallery at her gorgeous whimsical fantasy art.

We also have details of so many upcoming festivals and Faerie gatherings. There are lots of new events happening this year, all over the world.

Faery Festival season is gearing up for 2008, and we have news of festivals and exhibitions from the UK, Europe, Australia and USA, including Matter of Fact – an exhibition on the Cottingley Fairies, and Save the Faeries – a festival to raise awareness of environmental issues (a topic very close to our hearts here at Fae Nation!).

Our Artist of the Month is Emily Carding, a British-based priestess and artist who draws her inspiration directly from interactions with the Faerie Realms. Please visit her gallery to see a little of Emily's art, including images from her Tarot of the Sidhe.

Spring is just about sprung, at last! Here at Fae Nation were coming out of hibernation and making plans for the Summer to come. There are lots of exciting events happening all over the world this year, so there will be plenty of opportunities to frolic with the faeries.

Our first Artist of the Month for 2008 is a talented young English artist called Katrina Sesum. We have a small selection of her beautiful oil paintings in our gallery.

Well December is here already and another year is drawing to a close. They seem to fly by all too quickly!

This month we bring you our featured Artist of the Month, Susan Rodio. Susan's vibrant paintings capture a playful side of Faerie and are sure to delight!

Dear Faerie Friends,

Well we are back from the Faery Ball in magical Cornwall and an absolutely fantastic time was had. The atmosphere was just perfect and I have to say that faery people are the most loveliest and friendliest people you could hope to meet. I almost didn't want to come home again!
